Tanille's Post

Hey! Well my life has been pretty crazy. I have been doing theatre for about 2 years now and i just finished up my second UIL One Act play Competition, it was my first lead roll (YAY!) and i played Cecily Cardew in The Importance of Being Earnest. I loved it! We got 2nd place and walked away with the most acting awards (I got one of them!) I am now working on a westernized version of William Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew I got the part of Bianca, and my best friend Edie Scott got the part of Kate. We are performing next Thursday and Friday (the 6th and7th) at 7:00 at Crownover Middle School (free admission) hope you can make it! I will then be particiating in another Theatrical competition at Guyer High later in May. I'm way excited for high school next year! Mainly because of theatre (SHOCKER! I know!) Guyer theatre has a FANTASTIC theatre department, and I cant wait to be a part of the magic! Well other than theatre, I played Volleyball the past 2 years, we went out with a bang this last season by winning district. (: I have, however, sacrificed Volleyball in the name of theatre (another surprise!) so next year my team will be playing without me. ): well thats about it... so, until next time! See ya!

Camera

I bought a camera! It is supposed to be 10 mp, but the pictures are still grainy. I have adjusted the settings, fooled around with light, and all sorts of things, and I still get grainy pics most of the time. Sigh. I guess I'll be taking it back.

Fried Phone

I have been a little hard to get ahold of lately- so apologies to any out there who've tried. I had my phone on vibrate because I was in court on Fri with Thain (truancy issues). I was cleaning my kitchen, and put it on the window sill. Trent called me, and my cell phone vibrated right into the dirty dishwater! What a problem! I got one last call out of it and then it was dead. All my numbers and everything have been lost! I'll have it replaced tomarrow, and then, call me! So I'll have everybody's number again!

All Alone!

Ok! This is a red letter day! This is Braxton's first day of school. Whoohoo! I really don't know how to act, the house is weirdly quiet, and I love it? I should get something done, but I'm not, I'm just going to sit around, savoring the silence. The cool thing about this is, it isn't a one time shot. That's what gets me. I can look forward to this on a regular basis. Maybe when the newness wears off I'll be able to react in a more adult way, but I doubt it.

I so need to find a camera, they disappear at our house, or they get dropped in the toilet or something. I'll just use my cell phone, though it takes crappy pics. I have decided that I'm going to make entries in this blog even though I might not have pictures to post.

Life According Thain

Hey guys what's up? So, I've really gotten into theatre lately(as in the last year or so) and it's been AWESOME. I starred in my first musical as Slightly Soiled(most epic name EVER) in Peter Pan, and then turned around and starred as Nugget in Equus( it's a play about a schitzophrenic boy who blinds six horses). We made it past district, but sat down at area. Oh well. Cest la Vi. Oh yeah, I got busted for truency(I shouldnt have been). So Now I have 30 hours of community service to do. WOOOH... not. Oh well, this is Thain Limb Signing off.

Lost year

It's been over a year since I've posted. What a crazy year. I have been working nights, not sleeping, and I'm glad things are different now. Life is back to normal now, but I still work on occasion when they need me, because I love it too much to give it up. I am going to do more blogging this year, promise.

Now, I'm back to sewing, reading, and being a mom.

Thain has discovered theater, (he said that he loves being the center of attention.)

Brianna is working for an optometrist, and doing a lot for Denton Community Theater.

Zach has still loves cub scouts, and hates riding the bus to school.

Cody loves to skate board and argue with his parents. And hates riding the school bus.

Braxton is 3, feels he can do anything his big brothers can do. Which he can't.

Trent is working his usual 80 hr weeks, and going to school again to take the final classes needed to get his CPA.

So, let's get on with the year, shall we?

Thain is now at region for UIL One Act. I'm going to make him my first guest blogger. I hope. He's pretty busy.

This week's been busy.

Tani had her first costume fitting yesterday at Rose's Costume. She is really excited about her part. She plays Hestor, a ghost of a young girl about 11 that was unjustly accused of being a witch during the Salem Witch Hunts.
Reunion on Gallows Hill is gearing up! They are getting ready to perform in their UIL competition at Ryan High. Right now it is all about rehearsal, rehearsal, rehearsal! She says her costume is really cool, black and puffy, with a cream apron. She says it is a little creepy, and a lot of fun. You can be sure pictures are forthcoming.

After the fitting, Trent and I took Tani and Cody to a Dallas Stars hockey game, it was their birthday game. Tani's birthday was Thursday (she is 13!), and Cody's birthday is in May, after hockey season ends. So we took them out together. Stars won in a shootout! It was a great game to watch. Definately the right one to see for a birthday!
